If Jackson Hole = rad, the entire state of ColoRADo = Rad^2

(*Actual rad calculations may vary and are subject to change)

Holy Shit, I think we found it. Just as if Indiana Jones had found every goddamn rad ancient artifact that belongs in a goddamn museum all in 1 Nazi bad guy trunk, we stumbled upon the four cornered American flagship state of radness , Colo-feckin'-rado. Hold on to your New Eras and Bro-tanks, this is gunna be a good one.

Here's a couple pics I took on the way...

(Almost as if the people living in States that border Colorado are trying to prepare travellers for what's to come, I saw these sweet rides for sale on the side of the road while leaving Wyoming)

First stop on this Coloradoan Marathon of Radness was the small town of Fruita. Don't let the tiny square mileage of the town's boundaries fool you, this place has more sick trails to shred than perminant residents (According to the most recent US Census Bureau data)

Fruita!

We rolled in kinda late, but had just enough time to find a campsite, pitch our mobile living quarters, and watch the epic sunset while enjoying warm cheap beer...

First thing to do in Fruita is to march into Over the Edge bike shop and tell'em your deal. Doesn't matter who ya talk to, every person in there knows what's up.

It's a god idea to pick up a copy of one of these. Dudes at the shop will even update it with new trails since sweet new trails are always popping up

Make sure to look up while your in there, they have practically an entire mountainbike museum hanging from the rafters.

Swing by the local bike park if ya wanna work on yo skillz...

Wall riding skillz in action

Snapped a pic of the sun starting to go down after destroying some of the 18 road trails, a definite "must shred" location. Screaming down one of the newest trails, Pumps, Berms, and Rollers, or PBR for short (hell yeah), has to be the most fun one can have with their clothes on. The best part? Anybody can have a good time on it. Rad Radish shredders will dig doubling all the rollers and drifting berms, while yo grandma on her carbon 9er will have a blast just rolling over stuff, and everybody in between will be smiling too.

Lunch Loops is another epic trail network, technically in Grand Junction, which is only 15 minutes away.

All the trail networks had signs and trail markers everywhere, making it almost (And I stress the term "almost") impossible to get lost. I had to switch my plans up after seeing this sign, I mean, what kinda Rad Radish would I be if I passed up a chance to die young?

Ever make it down a section of trail and thought to yourself "Holy Shit, I'm Alive!"

Hula Girl was digging the heat. Maybe mid to late August isn't the ideal time to visit Fruita, since it's like a desert, but whatever, pound a Gatorade, crank the AC, and quit complaining. After all, this blog is about Tales of the Raddest Roaming Radish, not Bedtime Stories of the Bummer Beet or The Story of the Cry Baby Carrot Who Couldn't. (Funny thing is I don't even like vegetables)

Don't forget to check out the Colorado National Monument while you're in town. Not a bad drive, just stay on the road to avoid a fiery death.

My lady hanging out on a cliff, soaking in the powerful view.

Me hucking rocks at said "powerful view"

After posting some miles on ya Strava, the last thing to ride is a bar stool. The Hot Tamato is a solid spot for both brews and bomb pizza. They also had like every New Belgium beer on tap.

I didn't even feel bad for licking my plate clean, trust me, in Fruita, you earn them eats...

If you're looking for some local flavor in your suds, check out the Copper Club Brewing Company. This deliciously rad little brewery started off as a home brew supply store (which is still open around back) and offers like 7 different brews to choose from. Since we were only in town for a few days, trying each one was a bit of a challenge due to time constraints, but I rose to the occasion, for the good of my loyal fans, and at the cost of my liver.

Welp, after a week in Fruita, I think everybody needs to relax with an ice cold beer, including that awful chiweenie. Where to next? This Radish heads to Denver for a few weeks but first stops in Frisco to check out The Outlaws of Dirt contest, an event dripping with so much two-wheeled radness it'll make yer sticker peck out...
